Update: 9/14/25: Today was another relatively quiet day at the hospital since it was still the weekend. PT and OT weren’t around, so no therapy sessions again. Cristin did get her daily “bath,” and her Mom blow-dried and braided her hair afterward, which she enjoyed.

Later in the day, we discovered that her epidural was leaking. Since it was the weekend, the team decided to cap it off and switch her pain management to IV medication instead. Unfortunately, by the time the change was made, she had already fallen behind on her pain control, so the latter part of the day was especially tough for her. After her pain had subsided, she ended up the evening by reading Vincent his nightly Bible stories.

When Cathy and I left this evening, though, Cristin seemed more comfortable. Hopefully, she’s getting some much-needed rest tonight.
