Update: 8/14/2025: We finally have a confirmed date for surgery, which we've been anxiously waiting for so we could fully prepare. Chris and I will be flying to NYC on September 8th. My pre-op testing begins on the 9th with scans, followed by a meeting with my surgeon and the rest of my pre-op labs on the 10th to finalize everything.

Our moms, along with Avery and Vincent, will fly in on the 10th. Chris’ mom will stay through Sunday and then fly home with the boys. We felt it was important for the boys to see where I’ll be and spend some special time together beforehand—to ease their worries about me being away and undergoing surgery.

The surgery is scheduled for September 16th and is expected to take about 8 hours. I’ll stay in the hospital for about a week, followed by a transfer to an inpatient rehab center for approximately two weeks.

There has been a change in the tumor grading. Initially believed to be grade 1, one pathologist now classifies it as grade 1 to 2, while another suggests it may be grade 2 to 3. This uncertainty brings a lot of anxiety, as the grade directly affects my prognosis.

Many have asked how they can specifically pray, and we are so grateful for that. Here are a few things we’d love prayer for:

We are deeply thankful for every prayer, message, call, and donation. Your support means the world to us—we truly couldn’t walk this road without you.
